Overview
The Tumtec SD-9 is a portable optical fiber fusion splicer used to permanently join two fibers with a low-loss, high-strength fusion weld for FTTH and access-network work. It clamps, aligns and arc-fuses SM/MM/DS/NZDS fibers, then protects the joint in a built-in heat-shrink oven, running on a rechargeable battery for field use.
